Mic Deane Counselling
Therapy for queer & trans adults navigating relationships, identity exploration, and substance use
You’re in the right place.
Hi, I'm Michaela (she/her), but you can call me Mic!
I'm a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) offering in-person sessions in the Mount Pleasant neighbourhood of Vancouver, and online across BC.
We all carry stories about who we are, what we're capable of, and what we deserve. Unfortunately, a lot of them were handed to us by people and systems that didn't have our best interests at heart. I provide a space to examine those stories, question their source, and choose what you actually want to believe about yourself.
How we can work together
What becomes possible in therapy
Key areas of focus
-
When your relationship holds so much love but something keeps getting in the way.
-
When the distance between you and your partner (or yourself) has become hard to ignore.
-
When your relationship with substances has started to feel like something worth looking at.
-
When you're exhausted from carrying the weight of a world that wasn't built for you.
-
When you're not quite sure who you are underneath everything you've been told to be.
→ Learn more about how we work on this -
When you've spent your whole life wondering why everything feels harder for you than everyone else.

I’m accepting new clients in-person in Vancouver and virtually across British Columbia.
Choosing a therapist is a big deal. Let's have a conversation and see if I’m the right fit. If not, I'll help you find a counsellor that is!
